Every reward, every split — in plain numbers
DriveDrop pays people who grow the network. Below is exactly how commission, bonuses, platform fees and customer discounts are calculated, straight from the live rules our ledger uses.
Trigger
A contractor refers a new customer or contractor to DriveDrop.
Reward
Commission on the referred user's jobs, stepping down from the opening rate on job 1 to the final rate on the last job in the window. Nothing is paid after the window closes.
Debit platform marketing reserve → credit the referring contractor's wallet.
Trigger
A business books a job directly for its own customer through DriveDrop.
Reward
Commission on the value of that first job only.
Credit the business account, funded from the platform fee.
Trigger
You refer another contractor to DriveDrop and they start completing jobs.
Reward
A percentage of the value of each of their next qualifying jobs, up to the job threshold, paid to you on completion of each job.
Credit the referring contractor's wallet, funded from platform margin.
Trigger
A contractor brings their own customer and moves the vehicle themselves.
Reward
The contractor keeps the large majority of the gross price; DriveDrop takes a flat fee. Applies to the first 25 jobs per referred customer.
Gross price splits directly between contractor payout and platform fee at booking.
Trigger
Every customer gets two codes: a referral code that rewards both sides once the friend's first booking completes, and a discount code that simply gives 10% off to whoever uses it.
Reward
Referral code: a voucher each for you and your friend. Discount code: 10% off their booking straight away, with no commission or voucher for you on that job.
Issue single-use voucher codes applied automatically at checkout.
Trigger
An approved recovery operator introduces another recovery operator to the DriveDrop Recovery network.
Reward
A percentage of DriveDrop's fixed £50 introducer fee on each of the new operator's completed recoveries, up to the job window.
Credit the introducing operator, funded from the £50 introducer fee.
Illustrative only. Rewards settle against real completed jobs and the live rule values shown on this page.
Stacking rule: 10% total reward cap per job
Every reward on a single job is paid out of one shared pot capped at 10% of the customer price. However many referred parties are involved — referred customer, referred business, one or several referred transporters on the same job — they share that 10%, they never add on top of it. Transporter referral bonuses are taken from the pot first, so they are never squeezed out.
- Referred customer + referred transporter: the transporter bonus takes 1% first, so the customer referral is paid 9% — 10% total, never more
- Referred business + referred transporter: 1% + 9% = the full 10% cap
- Customer-to-customer: 5% each to both sides — exactly 10%, so no room is left for other rewards on that job
- Two referred transporters on one referred customer's job: 1% + 1% + 8% = 10%
- 10% discount code used: the whole 10% goes to the customer as money off, so no commission or voucher is paid on that job
- Business bookings: the business chooses per job whether its 10% comes off the price or is paid as referral pay onto its statement — and the business reward OR referral rewards are paid on the job, never both. Customer discount codes and vouchers cannot be used on business bookings, and combined rewards stay hard-capped at 10%.
- Self-referred job: unchanged — the transporter keeps 95%, no other commission applies
Equal split when claims exceed the cap
When two or more parties claim more than 10% between them, the pot is shared equally rather than first-come-first-served: 10% pass-through commission for a business customer plus 10% transporter commission becomes 5% each. If one party asks for less than its equal share, it takes what it asked for and the surplus rolls to the others (for example 2% + 10% becomes 2% + 8%). Admins can add, edit or remove any commission line afterwards if something needs correcting.
Business bookings that cancel still carry the £20 cancellation fee — commission is only earned on jobs that complete.
Lifetime limits still apply on each individual referral: transporter referral commission runs for the first 10 jobs on a stepped decay, and a transporter-to-transporter bonus pays 1% on the referred firm's first 50 completed jobs. Refer as many people as you like — each referral carries its own allowance, and each job stays inside the 10% cap.
Where the money goes
Customer payment is collected up front and held. On completion, the contractor payout is credited to their wallet, referral commission and volume bonuses are credited from the platform margin, and customer vouchers are issued for the next booking. Every movement is written to the contractor ledger and the platform audit log.
