DriveDrop partner quote API

Dealers, auction houses and garages can show live DriveDrop transport prices on their own website. Send us two postcodes, get back a fixed price for our standard 14 day collection window, plus a booking link that carries your referral code so every move is credited to your account.

1. Get a key

Business account masters create keys from their DriveDrop business area. Keys look like dd_live_…, are shown once and can be locked to your own domains. Keep the key server-side where you can; the embed widget uses it in the browser, which is why domain locking exists.

2. Ask for a price

POST /api/public/quote with your key in the x-drivedrop-key header.

Fields: collectionPostcode and deliveryPostcode are required. transportType is open or enclosed (default open) and category defaults to car.

Prices include VAT, fuel, tolls and goods-in-transit cover. Send the customer to bookUrl — the quote page is prefilled and your referral code is attached through sign-up and booking.

Limits and errors

Default 120 calls per hour per key — ask us if you need more.
100 free quote calls a day per business. After that, calls are refused with 402 unless you opt in to paid usage, which charges 2p per extra call that day to your account. You can switch paid usage off at any time.
401 missing or revoked key · 403 website not on the key's allow list · 429 rate limit · 422 route cannot be priced · 503 API temporarily off.
Errors always return { "error": "message" }.
Quotes are indicative until the booking is confirmed and paid.
